Nutty Creme Rice

Serves 4

Ingredients
  • 6 table spoons boiled Rice ( the type used for tuwon) or jasmine rice
  • 4 teaspoons coarsely crushed Cashew nuts
  • 6 pieces Dates (chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons Sultanas (currant)
  • 3 tablespoons cream
  • 1 table spoon Sugar
  • 1 stick Cinnamon


Instructions
  1. Wash and boil the rice with a piece of the cinnamon stick  till very soft. Jasmine rice will also work for this dessert.
  2. Add the sultanas and chopped dates to soften a bit and add their sweetness
  3. Whisk the sugar into the cream and add to the rice and stir, cook for 2 minutes
  4. Scoop into dessert bowls , chill , sprinkle with nuts and grated cinnamon sticks or powder and serve
