Nutty Creme Rice
Serves 4
Ingredients
- 6 table spoons boiled Rice ( the type used for tuwon) or jasmine rice
- 4 teaspoons coarsely crushed Cashew nuts
- 6 pieces Dates (chopped)
- 2 tablespoons Sultanas (currant)
- 3 tablespoons cream
- 1 table spoon Sugar
- 1 stick Cinnamon
Instructions
- Wash and boil the rice with a piece of the cinnamon stick till very soft. Jasmine rice will also work for this dessert.
- Add the sultanas and chopped dates to soften a bit and add their sweetness
- Whisk the sugar into the cream and add to the rice and stir, cook for 2 minutes
- Scoop into dessert bowls , chill , sprinkle with nuts and grated cinnamon sticks or powder and serve
