Irish Potato Casserole
Ingredients
- 4 -6 pieces Irish Potatoes
- 1 cup minced Meat
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 1/2 Onion( cut in large chunks)
- 1 teaspoon white Pepper
- 1 teaspoon fresh Thyme
- 1 tablespoon Cornflour
- 1/2 teaspoon dry Pepper
- 1 table spoonful butter
- 1 cooking spoon Vegetable Oil
- 2 medium size Carrot sticks
- Beef Seasoning cubes to taste
- 1/2 cup water
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Peel, wash and cut potatoes into big chunks
- Season the minced meat with white pepper, fresh thyme, salt, pepper, and rub seasoning properly into the meat
- Heat the oil , fry the garlic for 1 minute.
- Add the minced meat, butter and onion chunks and cook for 5 minutes
- Add the potatoes , water and lower the heat and cook till the potato is soft
- Add the carrots and Cornflour dissolved in 2 tablespoons water and cook for about 2 minutes. The corn flour should help to thicken the sauce..
- Correct seasoning and allow to cook for another minute and serve hot.
