Slovak Red Cabbage Soup

Serves: 6

Ingredients
  • 1 cabbage
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon caraway
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 6 cups vegetable stock
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • ½ cup flour
  • Small can tomato paste
  • 3 tablespoons sugar

Instructions
  1. Begin this process by chopping up your cabbage and then placing it into the oil and cooking it.
  2. Now, mix in your caraway and nutmeg and allow them to blend together and cook for 2 minutes.
  3. From here, you will blend in your vegetable stock and flour and allow them to mix together. Now cook the mixture for 30 minutes.
  4. When this is done, add in your salt, sugar, and vinegar, then cook for an additional 10 minutes.
  5. Serve hot.
