Blueberry Heart Shaped Breakfast Waffles
Ingredients
- 250 grams whole wheat flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 10 grams brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 200 ml of fresh water
- 150 ml of beer (or water)
- 50 ml sunflower oil
- 120 grams fresh blueberries
- Icing sugar to garnish
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder and sugar. Make a well in the center and add in eggs.
- Mix in water, beer, and sunflower oil, alternating between the three. Let the mixture stand for 1 hour. Gently, fold in blueberries.
- Preheat waffle machine until hot, and then grease the two plates with a brush soaked in vegetable oil. Pour batter on to plates, making sure tiles are evenly filled.
- Close the waffle machine and let it cook for a few minutes depending on the instructions on your machine.
- Gently, using a knife, remove waffles from machine.
- Sprinkle
- Sprinkle with icing sugar and serve.
