Slovak Red Cabbage Soup
Serves: 6
Ingredients
- 1 cabbage
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon caraway
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 6 cups vegetable stock
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- ½ cup flour
- Small can tomato paste
- 3 tablespoons sugar
Instructions
- Begin this process by chopping up your cabbage and then placing it into the oil and cooking it.
- Now, mix in your caraway and nutmeg and allow them to blend together and cook for 2 minutes.
- From here, you will blend in your vegetable stock and flour and allow them to mix together. Now cook the mixture for 30 minutes.
- When this is done, add in your salt, sugar, and vinegar, then cook for an additional 10 minutes.
- Serve hot.
